Cotton futures are trading 72 to 103 points higher at midday, with the help of a lower dollar. The US dollar is currently 123 points lower at midday. The USDA baseline projections put the 2018/19 cotton plantings at 11.2 million acres. That would be down from this year’s 12.4 million acres. The Cotlook A index was down 60 points from the previous day points to 81.75 cents/lb on November 28. Online cash prices on the Seam were down 117 points to 67.31 cents/lb, as sales rose to 18,186 bales.

Dec 17 Cotton is at 74.9, up 85 points,

Mar 18 Cotton is at 73.17, up 103 points

May 18 Cotton is at 73.69, up 88 points

Jul 18 Cotton is at 73.830, up 72 points
