Cotton

Cotton futures are 12 to 38 points higher this morning. They were 12 to 83 points higher in most contracts on Wednesday. The US dollar was weaker again on Wednesday, an encouraging sign for additional export sales. Export sales of cotton during the week ending 12/14 are expected to slow down from last week’s 259,700 RB. That USDA report will be out at 7:30 AM CST. The Cotlook A index was 70 points lower from the day prior on December 19 to 85.95 cents/lb. Online cash sales on the Seam fell to 13,711 bales on December 19, with prices averaging 69.32 cents/lb, down 7 points from the previous day.
