Cotton

Cotton futures are steady to 31 points lower in most front contracts on Tuesday. The Cotlook A index was 75 points higher from the day prior on December 18 to 86.65 cents/lb. Online cash sales on the Seam dropped to 19,979 bales on December 18, with prices averaging 68.77 cents/lb, down 130 points from the previous day. The House is likely to vote on the new tax bill this afternoon, with the Senate vote set for tonight or Wednesday morning. The US dollar is slightly lower at noon.

May 18 Cotton is at 75.46, down 18 points

Jul 18 Cotton is at 75.87, down 31 points
