Cotton Market News and Commentary

Cotton futures are down 65 to 72 points in most contracts on Monday. The US dollar index is up 228 at the moment, with crude oil down 99 cents/barrel to pressure the synthetic markets. The Cotlook A Index was up 5 points on February 1 to 83.75 cents/lb. The USDA Adjusted World Price is 65.07 cents/lb through Thursday, up 17 points from the previous week. The delayed Cotton Systems report from January will be released this afternoon. The next Cotton Ginnings report will be out this Friday.

Mar 19 Cotton is at 72.92, down 72 points,

May 19 Cotton is at 74.22, down 71 points

Jul 19 Cotton is at 75.56, down 65 points
