Cotton futures are trading 2 higher in nearby December, but 5 to 17 lower in the more liquid back months. They finished the Wednesday session with most front months 104 to 147 points higher, while deferred contracts were up 46 to 72 points. The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) is currently at 62.59 cents/lb through Thursday. Analysts are looking for export sales of upland cotton to be down from last week’s robust 357,000 RB. The Cotlook A index was down 60 points from the previous day points to 81.75 cents/lb on November 28. Online cash prices on the Seam were down 117 points to 67.31 cents/lb, as sales rose to 18,186 bales.
