Cotton futures are 30-40 lower in the old crop this morning. December is again higher and trying to buy more acreage. Cotton ended Wednesday with most contracts steady to 68 points higher, as a few contracts were lower on thin trade. The USDA Export sales report will be released this morning, with sales expected to back off from last week’s report of 399,100 RB. The current Adjusted World Price or AWP at 69.69 cents/lb will be updated later today. The Cotlook A index was up 70 points from the previous day on February 26 at 91.80 cents/lb. The Seam showed cash sales of 11,304 bales on Tuesday, with prices averaging 70.54 cents/lb.
